Career Skills Incubator (CSCI...pronounced 'See-Sky') is a federally incorporated nonprofit based in Toronto, Canada. We exist to empower people who are un(der)employed to develop skills for their dream careers. Some of the ways we do that include connecting people with mentorship opportunities, holding career-related workshops and networking events, and creating skills-based volunteering roles.

CSCI was created out of a need to give people a place to 'incubate' their career skills through real-world, practical work experience. Our founder, Victoria Alleyne, was a recent university graduate facing the daunting challenge of finding a job in the sector she'd trained in. What's more, she saw that many of her friends were meeting similar barriers. From this humble start, CSCI has grown into a community-based nonprofit with members from across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area...and a few folks in other countries too!

Toronto is our physical location, at the Centre for Social Innovation in Regent Park. But you can be a part of CSCI no matter what province or country you live in. We’ve had a mentor from as far as Rwanda, Skyping with a mentee! You can also meet up with other CSCI volunteers in public places such as libraries, cafes, etc. Many of our volunteers enjoy hosting informal meetups to apply to jobs or work on personal projects together.
